Perhaps it means there is no annual fee to be a member of the church?
Maybe not, but I have been told that it means they do not subscribe to the
"Westminster Declaration of Faith", which other Presbyterians (and possibly
other Protestant denominations) do.
Unfortunately, I don't actually know what that is (depite being brought up a
Presbyterian - I think I was off the day we covered that!) but no doubt others
will either correct me or confirm what it is.
