Hi,

I saw your e-mail and I'm searching for my ggggrandparents Reynolds and
Elizabeth Carney Laughlin. The following is one of their sons. Are you
familiar with this Jester/Laughlin line?

Elias Laughlin, in his application for a Civil War pension, said he was
married to Della or Dulana Jester. They were married Aug. 1861 in East
Elizabeth, Pa and had the following children

Charles Louis Laughlin born Dec. 27, 1861
Elias Laughlin born May 17, 1866
William Laughlin born Feb. 20, 1868.

In Elias's pension papers he gives his address as Massillon, No. 7 Lake St.
Stark County, Ohio. He died Oct. 17, 1918 at a State Soldiers' Home,
Sandusky, Ohio. I don't know when his wife died or any more information on
his children.

I found this in the 1850 Census Elizabeth Borough, Pa. Aug. 16, 1850

Lewis Jesture (or Jestore) 36 or 56 M Lawyer Vale of Real Estate 500 Born
Pa.
Mary Ann 46 F Born Pa
Sarah 14 F Born Pa
Margaret 12 F Born Pa.
Lauria (hard to read) 11 F born Pa.
Deluna or Delana 9 F born Pa.
Charles 6 M born Pa.

There are other Jesture's living in Allegheny County, Pa - Jefferson Twp. if
you are interested.
