Seek any strategies on how to proceed with scanty info on ancestors:
William BALDRIDGE (born 1689, Co. Tyrone; family of Scots origin?).
Married Jeanette (Janet?) HOLMES, 1714, St.Andrew's Parish, Co. Tyrone.
She was born 1694, St.Giles Parish, Co. Down.
Immigrated to Philadelphia 1726?
James HOLMES (purportedly Lord Mayor of Belfast at one time;
father-in-law of William BALDRIDGE, above) &
John POSTON (born ca1720, Co. Tyrone?). Married Margaret BALDRIDGE
(daughter of William BALDRIDGE, above). Immigrated to Philadelphia.
All of the above were involved in the linen or wool trade, and were
Presbyterian. Have had no luck in finding these names prominent in
Ulster, but suspect these persons' ancestors were plantation settlers.
Thanks in advance, MP.
