Merry Christmas to all:
I have been lurking and reading the most facinating stories or should I
say history on this list. I assume Mac has a book called Bell's Book
of Ulster Surnames. I would appreciate it if you could look up Cowan
and Kerby. Cowan I know came from Melrose ,Ayr, Scotland in 1680's and
were in Clonibret, Monaghan in 1835, but also there is mention of Armagh
and Fermanagh. The Kerby's may have sailed from Letterkenny as there
seemed alot of them in Southern Ireland.
I know this is a busy time and don't expect to hear till after the
holidays if you are able to answer y questions so Hears to you and yours
and may 2000 be a spectacular year.
