Was the condition --- Dupuytrens contracture named for a patient or the
physician naming the condition? I have (French DuPuy ancestors as well as
Scot, Irish, etc.) and mother and daughter have the hammer toe "problem",
as well as the end of little finger curve and "cyst/tumor?" This (the
derivation of the name) is not really a serious question but I am curious
about inherited conditions. Jeanne
