Hello,

Brand new subscriber here. Am trying to trace earliest known ancestor of
our line, Edward Baxter,
believed to have lived in Yorkshire in early 1700's,
maybe in Banbridge. Always believed our folks came from Scotland, just
learned the above a year ago.

Based on family lore, Edward's son lived in N. Ireland, then a grandson
emigrated to Charleston in mid-1700's, settled in North Carolina. Anyone
out there tracing similar lines. Paternal grandfather was orphan and also
died young, 1903 in Crawford County, Arkansas, his name was Arthur
Wellington Baxter.
