I am attempting to trace EDWARD JACKSON to Ireland. He was born in
October, 1753 in Ireland. He enlisted at Waterford, 10 Oct. 1775 untill
Dec. 1775 Captain Hemry Pilmore's Company, 24th foot. Enlisted at Cork,
Ireland Jan. 1776 until April 1776, Captain Richard Master's Co. 24th foot.
Enlisted at Lonquiille, Quebec, June 1776-Dec. 1776 (no muster rolls found
1777-1780. Regiment returned to England in 1781 but Edward stayed in
Canada. W.O. 97- Personal Papers. If thesse records are found they
should yield exact date of birth and imre important, exact place of birth.
He also was in General Fraser's regiment in Canada- that is how he received
his land grants. I would greatly appreciate help. Lois
