My DOUGLAS ancestor is said to have fought protecting
Londonderry in the 1689 "Great Siege of Londonderry". The
sword he used in the fight has been passed down successive
generations to a descendant named James DOUGLAS. I checked
the web site www.megastories.com/ireland/derrymap/siege.htm
[sorry, I don't know how to do a link] and got some
historical information. Does anyone know if there are any
historical records (like names of people who fought, etc.)
available anywhere?

Any information would be greatly appreciated! This is the
only link I have back to NI. Thanks!

Judy
