I too have questioned whether these people over which we devote so much time
(and money), that is, our distant ancestors, really have any link to us
after the dilution of the blood over generations and generations.

But when I have this doubt, I think about the fact that each generation
changed the diapers (or ancient equivalent) of the next and what more do
you need to prove a close and binding relationship.

Having said this, I admit I haven't changed my own children's diapers much,
but I've been there lending moral support to my wife's efforts.
