Subject: WHAT ARE SCONES?
Date: Fri, 13 Nov 1998 17:05:33 -0600

Well list... Let's tell David what they are :)

I think scones are delightful reminders of a wonderful vacation to Ireland
the summer of 1998. A pastry that can be enjoyed with tea and served a
multitude of ways. As with any pastry it's texture varies from cook to
cook. Some are light and fluffy filled with raisens, currents, orange
peel, topped with course sugar and some are hard as a rock and ready for
Carol's Patio. They are served with preserves, clotted cream or fresh
butter. But always enjoyed with a good cup of tea and a friend. :)

I'll be glad to post all recipes that have come in privately if that's ok
with everyone that sent them.

Sincerely
Pam
