Sarah, and anyone else who doesn't know about the Roots Surname List --
Please consider not only consulting the RSL, but submitting your own
surnames. It's pretty simple; you type the surname in caps, the areas
you know where they were, and the years you have information for. You
can even submit your surnames at the Rootsweb RSL page. The submissions
are kept current, so you are pretty sure everyone you write to is not
only interested in corresponding about the name(s) that they submitted,
but are actually *at* their email address!

I have personally united two close relatives -- my mother-in-law and her
second cousin -- by means of the RSL. It meant a whole branch of my
children's family line that *I* don't have to do the research on!

The RSL also uncomplicates your research, because you need not write
blind letters. You will KNOW where their Andrews were, and when.

I disagree. A simple listing of names is *not* useful. The Archives are
useful. The RSL is useful. The Surnames list/newsgroup is useful. Use
'em!
