Hi Brian,

>My family history dictates that my ancestors came to >Ireland to fight at the Boyne with William of Orange.

The Battle of the Boyne was 1691... so you aren't
quite right here:

>What I am looking for is information circa 1740-1765 in
> Ulster and I keep hitting brickwalls

I also have an ancestor who was given land after the
Battle. Somewhere in my badly organized research I have
a notation that these land grants can be traced. I will
look tonight and post -- I recall the list is in PRONI....

You can check our website for some ideas and also read
Falley -- she can help you devise a strategy. Ryan "Irish
Records" can help you figure out what is avail in Cavan
too.
