That's what happens with genetics.
Example: When an animal is put in a colder cimate for enough
generations, his fur becomes thicker, his need for warmer climates
diminishes, etc. - or he dies and his species becomes extinct.
And where homo sapiens are concerned (even the Scots) - that's
how we get a planet of different looking people - they "adapted"
to their environment. That's what genetics is all about!
Last I noticed, the Scottish are still hanging in. (grin)
