Ok Connie....I'll jump in. I am not a minister. A mom, yes - so that
qualifies me as a preacher I suppose. Among my parents, grandparents,
in-laws, outlaws, close friends and enemies.....I know no ministers, priests,
sisters, or nuns. I did however, (along with my 4 brothers and 3 sisters)
attend Catholic schools for 12 years. Does that count???? Still, it is
amazing that at least one of us didn't hear the "calling"!!
Incidentally, regarding all the dissension among/between religions.....my
paternal Scotch-Irish great grandmother ran away from her very Presbyterian
family (at least 7 generations!!) to marry an English Catholic. And my
Methodist mother married my Catholic father. Makes me wonder sometimes how
interchangeable "organized religion" seems to be when people are in love.
Please no flames - this was just a personal thought not a criticism.
