Carl,

I wish I were knowledgable about County Down, but I am not. I just look
that information up in my old book.

>Since you are this knowledgeable about Co. Down, I have a couple
questions for you. There is a townland with the name of Cardy on the East
side, maybe down the peninsula little way, if I remember my map. Any
information
about it?

Also, I'm supposed to have an ancestor born in Duncrue. The only place I
have found the name is on some streets in Belfast, but in Co. Antrim.
Also named was Cherry Valley -<

But I am learning! I have learned that Belfast Barony is in County Antrim,
and that is nothing compared to the the legend about Lower Lough Erne in
Fermanagh where the Prophet Jeremiah is said to have his grave. His
daughter was married to the son of a high king of Ireland and she brought
with her as her dowry the Stone of Destiny, the coronation stone of Scone.
Also, Beith, Noah's grandson, landed in Ireland with an ark full of
beautiful women, and that is why Ulster women are so lovely.

I think they all moved to Cherry Valley.

Alas, there was nothing in the book on Cardy or Duncrue either.
