Hello John and others,
Townland "Castlereagh" is approximately 5 kilometers South-East of
Belfast's City-Hall. On my streetmap Castlereagh is just outside the
official city border. Castlereagh seems to be the first politically
independent village South-East of Belfast. Other Townlands I believe
to be part of Castlereagh are: Cregagh, Braniel and Gilnahirk, where
my FOSTERs and MURDOCHs are from. I couldn't find Ballyacerret,
however.
I don't know if this has been posted here before, but...
You can lookup any Irish Townland online at the Townland Data Base at
http://www.thecore.com/cgi-bin/ire-srch
You will get the Townland, County, Barony, Parish and civil-Parish.
