Hi. I've been lurking on this list for a couple weeks now. I've
learned a lot! Your knowledge of history/genealogy is impressive. I
married into an Irish family (Donnellon, O'Connor, O'Connell, O'Brien &
Donner) but nobody knows much about their histories. You've helped me
recognize how important that is for my children.

Right now I'm working on my paternal ggggggrandfather's family.
Kirkwood to be exact. I'm not sure how to proceed at this point. I
can't seem to get beyond here. Any suggestions/info, would be greatly
appreciated.

HUGH KIRKWOOD born in Antrim, Scotland?. Died April 1785 in Abbyville,
South Carolina. He was granted 250 acres in Granville/Savannah Area of
SC by King George III on July 20, 1772).

Married SARAH AGNES BOWIE, born 1748 in Dunbarton, England.

Son HUGH KIRKWOOD,Jr. also born in Antrim (1767) he died in Hopkins
County KY in 1855.
