Sure. I've found my records on microfilm through the LDS FHC, and also in
published church histories both in America and in NI. In fact it was a
published church history that I found in the library at Queens University,
Belfast (QUB) that led me to link my immigrant ancestors to their church
in Ireland. Also by combing the session minutes on microfilm, I've been
able to discover family members that I would not have otherwise known
about. The Presbyterian ministers seemed to have been meticulous about
keeping records, and many of them wrote histories of their churches in
which they mention various members of the congregation.
If you're looking for Presby Ch. records in the US, then check first with
the LDS. barring any success there, you might check with the Presbyterian
Historical Society in Philadelphia. They won't do research for you though,
so you'll have to get someone to go check for you. I can give you the name
of someone in the Phila. area who may be able to help if you want to do
that. Let me know.
