Joe Maney scaled a saplin to escape a bull while on guard duty.
Capt. Pack died in Tuscumbia
Fate Dearman elected capt. in Pack's place
Albert Sidney Johnston made preparations for battle at Shiloh
Polk Whitlock thinking of home
Capt Large (a small man) in charge of Blair's company
Got 2 boxes of ammo
George Deakins elected capt. then major
Sam Allard ate 16 ears of corn and a bundle of fodder (green portion of corn plant)
Col Hill cussed
Gen. Claiborne shot in the mouth.
Joe Maney court martialed
Lieut. Safley wounded inthe foot.
Bill Bailey carried the flag and was shot at.
Gen. Claiborne was wounded
Thomas York shot in the Head
Dick Smartt shot thru the lung and begged to have his throat cut after saying "I die for my country"
Kenneth Spidell shot in the thigh
Smartt and York were nicely burried
Capt. Hugh Fowler absented himself without leave and court martialed.
Colonel Hill arrested by Gen Claiborne and released after a petition of all the men was put forth.
General Rosecrans and General Bragg began to growl
James Brewer was the second lieut. that arrested his brother in law Capt. ?
Jesse Mooneyham hit in breast with spent ball (not badly hurt)
? Mitchell wounded and died.
James Swann bullet went thru his coat and mist him.
Flag bearer was wounded and Lieut. Hamrick took it and raised it high.
Charley Snipes was struck in the breast took a break and went back to fighting
Ben Snipes wounded.

Breckenridge moved on the enemy
J.E. and J. L. Jones saw battle.
Capt. Hugh Fowler court martialed and dismissed
Col Stearns was killed
6 men deserted.

Sent under guard to fight one for killing his wife the other for piloting the enemy.
Leroy Carson returned to the regiment
George Etter killed John Woodlee
Wilson Purdam was taken in the woods and hanged by 4 men two of which were commissioned officers.
Son's of a neighbor of John B. Blair's John Riggs and Oliver Hendrix
Wesley Davenport was mortally wounded
Frank Vanerson shot through the arm.
Wesley Wilson shot through the arm
Capt. Nep Newby's and Lieut Ike Barnes companies ran a grain mill with John B. Blair in charge
