Bravo for you John on the excellent translation of Latin.
I go back into the 40's with Latin 1, 2, and 3. I can barely
remember anything.

I do remember (50 yrs back), sitting in Latin 2 and the teacher
rattling off "All Gaul is divided into 3 parts", omni Gaulia divesa est
in tres partes.. Now that I think about it, why were Latin scholars so
hung up on Gaul? I hated those classes and guess I should have paid
better attention. There must have been a lot of running back and
forth over the continent in the early, early days. Must have taken
them months and months to get what today is hours.
