Dear List,
as another one of those folks who tends to lurk due to lack of time to
do anything else I wish to make a few comments also regarding the doggie
poop... there are some good points for us to ponder here....

Yes, from time to time this list (as EVERY OTHER list that I have been
on has done) has gotten sidetracked into bouts of humour (no apologies
for the correct spelling hehe) also mud-slinging, civil war dredging
(which interests me as much as the aforementioned pooop) this list is a
well run list. I think that it would be a lot to ask of Linda to police
this list looking for tomato (tom-aaa-to) sandwiches and civil war
factions around every corner. Being from Northern Ireland, and living
overseas, I like to get in on the banter, and enjoy it. However, I
don't like to get too sicktracked. But let's face it. Each of us
chooses to be on this list (isn't that what you told me to say Linda?)
Therefore, come crud or high water, we have to live with the good n the
bad. Unlike poop-scoops, which are operated manually, we cannot "unsub"
ppl who dribble. That is their choice (or Linda's al fin) Ours is to
find a way to ignore the waffle that floats our way...and keep the
good. I used to receive an average of 50-80 emails a day....only about
30 now... so I know what it is like to receive a lot of mail and when
much of it is twaffle it IS annoying.

I am a member of various lists, most of which are great, a few however
are full of arguments, and swearing....let's count our blessings...

Maybe if we were willing to all pay Linda $10 a month (not to be used
for the stocking of your sherry supply Linda) she could afford to live
in this list, and bid a fare-the-well to the real world. Unfortunately,
for a number of reasons that is not going to happen...

So...
"Oatmeal Savage" don't unsub.....just exercise a lil more patience with
us. For those of us who contrib to the list....I guess I am not in a
position to say this as I'm not list-owner (but what I am saying is, I
hope, not out of line with the list-owners thots) but I'll say it
anyway...it's enjoyable to have as we say in Norn Iron "a wee bit of
craek!" but we should all be able to respect others circumstances, (ie
some pay for their email calls, ect) and wishes...and keep our "fun" to
a manageable level
