Subject: A question of name quirks & a THANK YOU!!!!

Hello everyone!

Well I've posted this query on a couple of my other newsgroups but without
much success so I thought I'd post it to this one since I always get the most
wonderful response here!

On a St. Jean Quebec census of 1871 the names have been "Franchophoned" and
I'm wondering if anyone has ideas as to what the real names are:

The first was scribed as "Mariane" which we KNOW is really Annie Mary.
The second was "Mariare" ( a younger sister) and the third was "Marte" which
a French gentlemen suggested could be Martha. Any other suggestions?

Lastly and most importantly I want to take this moment to say what a
wonderful, informative, fun experience it has been since I joined this group.
People from all over the world always take the time to give me the most
thoughtful, helpful, exact, detailed information. I've solved more puzzles
and have been given more new avenues to try then I thought possible. You
never let me down and I just wish I had more information to share with the
group rather than always just asking. Hopefully as I get more experienced I
too can share. From the bottom of my heart thank you oh thank you for being
there.
