I have always mispronounced the word "creek" as "crick."
Is there some NI/Gaelic source for this mispronunciation?
Or is it a western Pennsylvania localism?
Mass ignorance or what?
What are "creeks" called in Ulster?
Cowan, County Down
McClay, County Tyrone
Crawford, Anthony, Allen
