Consider yourself fortunate, at my tiny library on this island of 100,000
people
we must PAY $10. US for every request for ILL, I have now paid $40. and not
received
any of the 4 requested books, and the charge goes onto my library card, if
it is not paid
I cannot check out any books! This is the most frustrating situation, as I
am attempting to
compile as much history on my family names as I can, for my family members.
The library
here on this island has less books than my high school library had in
California, its dismal.
That is why I am so grateful for the help I have been given on these lists,
without it I would have
only the FHC for research. Oh Maui, is beautiful alrighty, just don't try
to research here.
There is NO free library in Hawaii. GEE!

Riley, more.
: Did you try to get the book through the interlibrary loan system at your
: local library? Some libraries don't advertise this service loudly as it
: costs them time to find the book and then postage both ways. The
: library I belong to will do it but they act like the money is coming
: from their pockets and not from my taxes !
