As the subject recently came up, permit me to dispel a myth advanced that the
"Catholic Church" destroyed the Druids. Most ancient records allude to their
demise during the Roman conquests. Great traditions have since arisen
pondering the possible fate of the original ancient Druids.

I have a particular interest in the subject as part of the "fraternal" Druid
tradition
in which I participate. However, there are several other active communities
which claim this legacy as well. For those interested in this subject, I
would be happy to forward additional information and websites.

As a "proto-Scotch-Irish" topic, I will not further clutter our already
congested conversations with this rather esoteric topic.
