Hi Alma, well put!!! Now the list needs a vocabulary list as well as a
FAQ.
RIC = Royal Irish Constabulary (the police before Irish independence)
RUC = Royal Ulster Constabulary (the NI post separation police
force)
NI = Ulster (Northern Ireland -- though Donegal is farther
north)
Kew PRO= The Public Records Office in Kew which is in England )
PRONI = Public Records Office of Northern Ireland (as
opposed to Kew)
I don't know RCMP or REC!!!
