By the way, is everyone aware that in the New Jersey Public Library there is
a very large book (tome) entitled Pre-Revolutionary Dutch Houses & Families in
Northern New Jersey & ?Southern New York by Rosalie Fellows Bailey, A.B.
published in 1936? This book shows (on p. 108) the house of Jacob Swaert. States
it was erected about the time New Utrecht was settled in 1657, althouth it
could be only as early as 1675 when a fire destroyed almost the entire village.
