Searching for family of John Wesley Strain, son of Adolphus M. and Mary
(Polly) Waters Strain b. in SC or GA, He was married (where)? And to whom?
The 1850 Cass Co., GA has two census with same dates. The 2 different census
has same people as neighbors, but gives birth in SC on one and GA on the other
for a J Strain, mechanic, mar. to M. Strain on one census and J. Strain mar.
to S. Strain on the other.
Also in the same area, there is an Isaac A. Strain, w male age 23 b. in GA,
1870 census, who is he?
William L. Strain, wm in Walker Co., GA, 1870 census
James H. Strain wm, age 24, b. in GA, Ellijay, GA 1870 census.
James W. Strange wm, age 50, b.SC 1870 census (I wonder about this spelling),
Could it be Strain? My gf had his name spelled Strane and Strange on some
census, though it it is spelled Strain all other places, marriage licence,
etc.
