STONE Family in East Finely Twsp, Washington Co., PA
Joseph Ayers was a native of Eastern PA. In 1802 he purchased 150 acres
of land from FRANCIS STONE Jr, a part of a tract "Stone Hill" situated
on the waters of Buffalo Creek. The original tract was warranted to
Isaac Phillips, April 3, 1787, by will of FRANCIS STONE Sr., dated
11-8-1788, the property descended to his heirs, FRANCIS, JAMES and
THOMAS STONE.
On 10-18-1801, Thomas Stone, deeded his share to his two brothers, and
Francis sold a part of his share to Ayers, as stated.
