My Barton Warren Stone was born ca 1798 in GA or SC, to Matthew
Stone and Mary Jane Duke. In 1823 he married Bathsheba Mackie, who was
born ca 1804. They moved to LA in the early 1800s and lived in what is
now Winn, Rapides, Grant, and perhaps Concordia parishes.
