Obituary for Mrs. Lillie Woodruff Grove

Mrs. Lillie Woodruff Grove, aged 87 years, formerly of Holbrook, died at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 10, 1957 in the home of he daughter, Mrs. J.T. Stockdale, of 615 Ridge Avenue, New Kensington, after a long illness.

Mrs. Grove was born December 11, 1869, in Center Township, a daughter of Dr. Benjamin L. Woodruff and Alicinda Lough Woodruff. She was the last of her family.

She had been a member of the Holbrook Christian Church since 1887. Her husband, Lindsey D. Grove, died August 9, 1932.

She is survived by her daughter, Hildred, wife of Dr. J. T. Stockdale, at whose home she died.

A son, Dean Grove, died March 14, 1957.

Funeral Services, Robert L. Lantz Funeral Home, 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 1957. Officiating Clergyman, Rev. Earl B. King.

Interment, Rosemont Cemetery
