Thank you all for your input, from all three lists.

As I said, it's really a moot question, since there isn't any way to
actually combine the lists into one, anyway. The Rootsweb system allows for
the creation of new lists at will, so if even one person wants a list for a
particular spelling, it will exist, so we should make the best use of it we
can.

On the other hand, there is a lot of interest on all three lists in
cross-fertilization, so I will do my best to make sure that items of
interest get posted to all the lists. And people interested in in-depth
research can subscribe to all three lists. It doesn't increase your traffic
that much and may pay off in terms of your research. At least the choice is
there if it works for you.

It's great to work with such an involved bunch of folks. Remember, write me
off-line if I can help in any way.
