Just a quick note in time for the holidays:

If you haven't already, go the NAUPA (Nat'l Assn. of Unclaimed Property
Administrators--or something like that) web site and check to see if you have any
unclaimed money somewhere. Check for all of your previous states of residence,
and well for as those of your family members. Claiming the money SHOULD BE
FREE! If you are asked to pay a fee to claim your money, it is possible the
person asking you is breaking the law. (See the NAUPA web site for more
details). Amounts left unclaimed range from a buck or so up to thousands of dollars.

I found over a dozen hits for STEVICK on the California site alone (two for
over $3,200.00!)! I know some of those folks are deceased, but their heirs can
claim the money.
