Dear List

Family Tree DNA (who we use for the DNA project) has announced a seasonal sale
up to the end of December.

This includes upgrades and new STR kits (the most useful for a surname project)
plus Family Finder which has the advantage of being applicable to either men or
women.

I would like to encourage all people who are able to join (or know a potential DNA
donor) to do so. We are having great success with the project but the more who join
the more we will learn with this extremely powerful tool.


The project does also have a limited amount of funds available to encourage testing
of particular lines.

As ever we are keen to see people from the Harpers Ferry and Isaac Stedman (of
Biddenden) families join the project and of course we are always particularly
interested in anybody with a paper trail to the British Isles.

If you think your line could qualify for funding then please contact either John Lisle
() or myself.

People who have already got 12, 25 or 37 loci STR results can upgrade these or
order Family Finder and people who are considering joining the project can order an
STR kit (we now recommend the 37 loci to start off with) or Family Finder, all at
seasonal discount rates.

Please note that unfortunately only direct male descendants can participate with an
STR kit, if you aren´t one of these then you will need to find a suitable donor for your
line.
