I was just checking the post for Stedman/Steadman and came across your message.

I also have a Steadman born in Ct. I can not seem to trace her parents? I have learned from another family member that her parents were John & Sarah Stedman.

Hannah Stedman born May 14, 1809 in Ct. she married Henrick Schenck I think in NY; that is where most of her children were born and then moved to Michigan where they both died.
Hoping you can shed some light on this family?
