In the old days, there were many unusual names for
diseases and medical conditions which are not used
today, except for a few of them. These terms may help
you to understand what an ancestor suffered or died
from. In many cases this may actually help you if you
are interested in genetic/hereditary problems in the
family tree as well what is listed in your death certificate
or other records which show cause of death.
These are listed in alphabetical order.
