Hi Karen,
I have Joseph Soden and his family arriving on the ship Gloriana in 1852 to Melbourne. Joseph & family lived in Stepney Middlesex in the 1852 census, but have not located him prior to that. Joesph's father was Thomas Soden. Karen is decendant from Louisa Soden, whose father was also Thomas Soden, whose family lived in Kent. We have not been able to link the two as yet, but they may be the same man.
No information Joseph (snr's) birth but all 4 children were born in Stepney.
