I figured it was time to post another query on my brickwall. I'm
looking for confirmation. A well-documented source.

I recently found the grandfather of my John George Snyder, Juniata/Perry
counties, PA and Callaway Co., Missouri.

In the Name of God Amen I George Nass of Tuscarora Township Juniata
County, being in perfect health and sound mind and memory, thanks to
Almighty God for the same, being mindful of my mortality, do make and

The problem is that I can document the male children of John
George Noss, and the one daughter, Catherine m. Enslow. However, I can
find no good documentation for the other three daughters, Eva, Mary
Barbara, and Sarah Jane. I've found that a lot of the documentation
found on the web is circular. In other words, one person attributes the
information to a second person. I contact the second person and they
give me a third. By the time I get to the third person, they cite the
first person. So far, all I can find is a listing of these children in
a family history written 30 years ago. The source quoted there is a
letter or conversation with a person that's been dead for 40 some
years. The person who wrote this history has no idea where they put the
copies of records they used, i.e. letters etc.
From other evidence in my possession, copies of photographs, letters,
deeds, wills, etc., I can construct a very good case supporting my
statement that John George Noss is the grandfather of John George
Snyder. What I can't find is any documentation to support the idea that
Mary Barbara Noss is the mother, and that she married an unknown Snyder.
Is there any evidence out there? Does anyone have anything? I would
be more than willing to share what I have, in return.
