Found this in HARDEMAN COUNTY HISTORICAL SKETCHES, pub. 1979 compiled by the
Hardeman Co Historical Commission.

SNEED-McWILLIAMS
William Sneed (1790) came from North Carolina and settled in Hardeman County
in Anderson Mill bottom. He moved west of Saulsbury. William Sneed's wife
was named Jennie (1798) and they were parents of the following children:
Mark (1822); Lucy (16 March 1823- 20 December 1915); Stephen (1827); Hannah
C. (12 September 1833-12 September 1901); Betty (Harbin); Andrew lived in
McKenzie, Tenn. and John (1815 in N. Car.) All the children except John
were born in Tenn.
Hannah C. married Charles W. Press (29 January 1836-1857). They had four
children. Bettie (13 August 1869-24 May 1969) lived in Saulsbury and had a
drugstore. James Eli (1874-1876); Thomas Walter (Pete) (17 September 1871-8
March 1919); Charles W. Jr. (21 September 1867-4 March 1940) married Rosa
Lane. He was a farmer and had a cotton gin.
John Sneed married Elizabeth (Betty) Hodge (1825) of Georgia 8 July 1843.
Betty was called the prettiest girl in the county. Betty Hodge's father was
Billy Hodge a carpenter from Rome, Ga. They lived about a mile west of
Saulsbury in a house built by Billy Hodge. The house is still standing.
Children of John and Betty Sneed were Frank; Ann; Andrew Jackson (12 May
1861-19 February 1950); Richard (12 February 1859-22 April 1949)/ Arthur
Oscar "Ott" (10 January 1852-24 September 1938); William; Sarah Virginia (28
January 1850-5 January 1938).
Sarah Virginia "Jane" Sneed married Joseph Cornelius McWilliams 21 November
1869. Joseph McWilliams (6 October 1848-30 July 1932) of Huntsville,
Alabama, came to Hardeman County at age 16. Joseph was an excellent farmer.
He farmed south of Saulsbury, then moved and owned a farm north of Western
State Hospital and in later years they moved into Bolivar. their children
where Callie (7 February 1871-27 September 1961); Cora Lee (26 October
1872-1 April 1953); Cornelia (11 December 1872-15 September 1951); John
Fletcher (20 September 1875-23 August 1948)l Joel (27 September 1877-3
February 1966); Ophelia Ann (20 March 1881-December 1971); Elizabeth
Matilda (7 September 1879-18 June 1959); Robert Nelson (13 January 1884-27
April 1945); Fanny Rose (3 April 1887); Marvin Winfred (3 February 1889-17
March 1969); and Mary Virginia (17 April 1891) Joseph and Sarah Virginia
McWilliams are buried in Union Cemetery in Bolivar. (by Mrs Jack Daniel)
