I have the Civil War Military Record for a Henry Smithers age 24, enlisted
as Pvt in Co C, lst Reg. Kentucky Inf on 8 Jun 1861 in Pendleton, Ohio
---however he deserted on 11 Jun 1861 and the papers say the following:
.....deseserted before descriptive roll was made out --- never rec'd any
pay, clothing or subsistence from the Co --- nothing is known of present
whereabouts.....
If anyone wants these papers, I will be happy to mail them to you.
