Seeking information on Rebecca Hogshire, who at about 13 years of age was living in Black Hawk County IA with John and Mary Ann (Hogshire) Smelser in 1860.

Rebecca Hogshire was born circa 1847 in Indiana. Mary Ann Hogshire was born in 8-6-1830 in Ohio, and married John Smelser on 10-8-1846 in Boone County IN.

Mary Ann (Hogshire) Smelser was the daughter of Riley B. and Rachel (Barrett) Hogshire, who married 12-22-1826 in Clinton County OH. Her father Riley died prior to 1850, and her mother Rachel died 10-10-1850 in Marion County IN.

Mary Ann (Hogshire) Smelser died 2-14-1893 in LaPorte, Black Hawk County IA. According to her obituary, she husband and she left Indiana for Iowa in 1852.

Was Rebecca also the daughter of Riley and Racghel (Barrett) Hogshire - and hence the sister of Mary Ann (Hogshire) Smelser?

What happened to her after 1860?
