I'm just trying to piece some things together. I have a copy of Effie's death certificate. Her mother is listed as Sarah Rhoades. No mention to whether Benjamin and Sarah were married on it or any other papers I have. In the 1880 census Effie is listed as living with her grandparents, John and Maria Rhoades. I have no idea why, maybe Sarah had passed away.
My question is then, do you know who Benjamin's parents were? I haven't found anything about his ancestors at all.
