I asked some on this list who had been in contact with him, if they knew what became of Ken Showers. Had they heard from him. None had. the last email I recieved from him was March 19 2005... on April 29 2005 Ken passed away in Arizona. He was 58. I do not know the cause or anything else...I found his death listed on the Social Security death index and it was a shock to find out that way. Does anyone know how to find his obit?
With his passing , goes years of very detailed research into the Showers line from Pennsylvania as it connected to the Schauer immigrants to America. And with his passing goes a friend who I enjoyed conversing with as we dug into the mysteries surrounding this line.
