I have a John Short born 20 Dec 1836, (not 1826), died 8 Feb 1895 and is buried in the Harmony Grove cemetery, Knox Co. Missouri. I have a photo of his gravestone.
His parents where William and Amy Douglas, both born in Kentucky and also buried at Harmony Grove.
This john had 10 siblings, one being my GG-Gpa who was born in Missouri in 1839.
You might try contacting "FredricZS" who posts on this board. He is the Administrator of the Short DNA project.
