G'day all

A little late to answer but I too have a George SHAND in the family b.
Inveruie Aberdeenshire 20.11.1829
He was in London working, training as a Baker with his Uncle William SHAND
In 1852 he married Letitia PAGE St Pancras Longon Eng.
Then went to Melbourne Australia where my GGrandmother Letitia SHAND was
born
5 year later and with 3 Aussi born children the family moved to Dunedin NS
where 5 more children were born.
George SHAND d. 20 Jun 1875 and Letitia SHAND d. 22 Mar 1915 both buried
Dunedin Otago New Zealand
My GGrandmotehr m. John George DRAPER 15 Dec 1850 had one child and then
went to
John George DRAPER'S home town Lincoln England where their 3rd child my
Grandfather
Albert Edward DRAPER was born 4 Mar 1877.

The above re my SHAND family tree has been a BIG suprise to me
My cousin Fred Buckley in Auckland NZ has had a book about the SHAND family
published in New Zealand
His GGrandmother was Margaret SHAND b. NZ and was sister to my GGrandmother
Lititia SHAND b. Australia

Some of the above may be of use to other SHAND'S I hope
