Hi Bill,

My dad is not Fred, but his next brother Richard (Dick) Coster. Although Fred has passed, my dad still lives in CT. Their sister Christine and I have been trying to work on the tree.

Emma is their mother/my grandmother. I've been using the family history that Aunt Florence put together and trying to verify the info in it. The story about John and Frederick owning two inns "The Earl of Essex" and "The White Horse" was a huge break thru, because the pubs' names are listed on the UK Census records.

The document I quoted was John and Mary Ann's parish wedding record. It was another one of those break thrus because it had her maiden name, their fathers' names, as well as the village Little Warley.

His father John was a farmer in Little Warley (from the mariage record). There's a John Seabrook (b.1776) in the UK Census who is almost certainly the right one. However I don't have anything to else to verify that, or go back further yet.

I'll attach that marriage record, hopefully you can read it. I've really enjoyed what we've found so far, maybe we'll get further. Keep in touch, Doug
