In South Dakota, the county register of deeds could tell you where the
cemeteries are. The WPA did a cemetery indexing project in South Dakota ca.
1940. Those records are at the state historical library in Pierre, but some
organizations have records. You can also access them through USGenWeb > SD
> Bon Homme County.
As listed there, the cemeteries are
Ebenezer, Twp. 96-58, Section 28
Emanuel Baptisten, 95-60, 7
Evangelical, 94-60, 18
Friedensberg, 93-61, 4
Friedenstal, 96-58, 31
German Reformed, 96-60, 21
Hitt, 94-61, 34
North Zion Lutheran, 95-61, 1
Rosehill, 96-58, 4
Schmoll, 95-60, 23
St. Geo. Catholic, 96-58, Scotlnd
Tyndall, 94-60, 1
Vodnany, 96-60, 13
Wesleyan, 94-61, 4.
What are the names and approximate dates for the people you want to locate?
Some of the earlier death certificates do not indicate place of burial, but
the more recent ones should.
