Subject: [WIG] OPR deaths

Having just been over to Register House yesterday I managed to find a birth
that I have been looking for for about 4 years! I looked through an OPR for
a neighbouring parish and found it!!
Maybe all the listers know this but on many of the OPR films there are deaths
- although they have not been computerised by Register House, and the IGI
hasn't indexed them either. So it is worth trying to get access to a copy of
your parish record if at all possible or you may have to get some help from a
researcher over in Scotland.
Some parish records are more detailed than others and if they don't have the
actual deaths they have mortuary bills! So don't loose heart the answers may
well be out there!
