Hi Linda, yes this is a real stumper isn't it. I think it was the Minister who compiled the census in these days, perhaps she was visiting her parents and he just put down Cassadie by mistake, but you would have thought the baby would have been with her. or perhaps she had "run back to Mother"!! they certainly were married if you have seen the marriage cert.I can't think of anything else, but I am certain these are the right people, there is no other Ann Cassadie or McDowall in the census and the baby's age is right. Perhaps we will never know. I don't like to be beaten! Perhaps some other info will turn up. I am finding the Batch numbers great, but sometimes difficult to get onto. Diana
