Hi Linda,

This family don't have any connection with my line, as far as I know, but I
can add the following:
James was born 26 Nov 1841.
Agnes, born abt. 1849.
A male, born 1851.

I don't have their 1851 census details on file, but can get same for you -
in a week or two.

I have come to a temporary halt with my MCCUBBIN family and have started
my search for MCDOWALL and CASSIDY (CASSADAY, CASSADIE).
Looking for help with Thomas MCDOWALL m . Ann CASSIDY 15 Aug 1839
Stoneykirk, Wigtownshire.

So far the children I have been able to locate are:

Elizabeth MCDOWALL b. 21 Sept 1839 Stoneykirk [Elizabeth married 8 July
1862 to James MCCUBBIN at Whirlpool, Stoneykirk]
James MCDOWALL b. abt Dec 1841 or Jan 1842 christened 9 Jan 1842
Stoneykirk
John Francis MCDOWALL b. 9 Oct 1855 Kirkmaiden by Drummore


There seems to me to be a large gap between James and John. It also
seems like they didn't follow the naming patterns (so far that I see).
Does any one have access to 1851 and 1861 census for Stoneykirk &
Kirkmaiden to do a lookup?
